Accommodations

Madrid

Our guesthouse is just off of the bustling square, Puerta del Sol and a few blocks walk to the majestic Plaza Mayor and Royal Palace. The historic 19th-century building was a favorite haunt of Ernest Hemingway and the location of the first cinema projection in Spain before it became the simple but comfortable guesthouse that it is today. All rooms have private bathrooms.

Rascafría

We begin our program in a quaint rural stonemade youth hostel in Rascafría, north of Madrid. Surrounded by the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range, this is the perfect launch pad for orientation activities, hiking, and experiencing the Spanish rural side. Participants stay in dorm rooms with private baths.

Barcelona

Our comfortable Barcelona hotel sits in a central location, by Las Ramblas, near multiple local landmarks that are within walking distance. Rooms typically hold 2-4 students and have private bathrooms.

Granada

Our accommodations are at a locally owned and operated ecolodge in Dílar, just outside of Granada. Accompanied by the constant sound of the river Dílar, the airy lodge welcomes the arrival of young people who want to get to know, enjoy this environment, and learn to respect the environment. Accommodations consist of dorm-style lodging with private bathrooms and cozy common areas indoors and outdoors. Nutritious meals are also provided in the dining.

Málaga

Our centrally located hotel is within walking distance of most major historical sites, including the Alcazaba, and the Roman theatre. Rooms are for two to four students with private bathrooms.

This trip was special because of the unique places we went to that educated us on Spanish culture and history. It also opened our eyes to experiences that other people have by giving us a very personal, hands-on and face-to-face experience with it.

The people were super accepting and welcoming, and we all had a unique chemistry that made the trip super fun. The leaders also made the trip not only educational, but also fun.
