Accommodations

Cerro Gordo

The “Big Yellow House” is the Global Works Puerto Rico base and is perfect for groups! Students stay five-six per room in bunk rooms with private baths, with breakfast and dinner  catered by a local restaurant. Our home is on an acre of land with sand volleyball courts, group meeting space, and is a 5-minute walk to pristine beaches.

Luquillo

The final two nights are spent in a locally owned hotel just steps away from the beautiful Luquillo beach. Rooms are dorm-style, just for our students, with shared bathrooms and meals catered by a local organic restaurant. Group space abounds in this quiet corner of town, allowing for an intentional closure to our days together in Puerto Rico.

A rocky beach with lush palm trees and clear blue water under a partly cloudy sky.

I learned to appreciate where I live and how privileged I am. I think I’ll start to look at things with a more grateful attitude.

How kind everyone was and how nobody judged you for who you were, they were just open to you being yourself
