Circle of Writers Program

Global Works Travel Writing 101 is an optional is an optional 10-day online, writing course for Global Works participants in which students participate for a minimum of 60 minutes a day, on their own time. Participation in this course requires a separate registration and fee.

Any participant enrolled in a Global Works rogram. No age restrictions or minimum trip length.

Course Descriptions

Title: Global Works Travel Writing 101

Need a topic for your college admission essay or a writing sample? Use your Global Works travel experience! Circle of Writers was founded by Mary Cinadr, a writer, educator and Global Works leader who loves to share her passion for reflective travel writing. Since 2010, Circle of Writers has offered both Summer Service Adventure & Custom Group Travel participants an enhancement to their experience. You will finish the course with a polished and publishable piece.

This is a 10-day online course that can be done on your own time, after the completion of your Global Works trip. The course requires approximately 60-90 minutes/day. Choose from one of two post-trip sessions or schedule your own private, semi-private or group course. All levels and types of writers are welcome. Courses that meet your school’s flex credit requirements are available.

Title: 1-On-1 College Essay Support

Write stand-out college application essays with greater ease.

Expert guidance on your personal statement and supplemental essays. You choose the type and amount of support you need– from brainstorming and outlining, to drafting and refining. Support is offered through email and/or video meetings, and scheduled at a time that works for you. Packages start at $250. Contact us to learn more.

How to Register

  1. Enroll for a Global Works Summer Service Adventure or Custom Group Travel program.
  2. Register for Global Works Travel Writing 101 group course or 1-on-1 College Essay Support directly through Circle of Writers: www.circleofwriters.com/globalworks. Session dates are available on this page. The tuition for the group course is $395, and the tuition for Essay Support is based on the amount of support needed, with packages starting at $250. Both are payable directly to Circle of Writers.
