Katie Kelly

Katie grew up wanting to be a Opera Singer and Music Teacher. Her second year of college turned out to be a game changer when she studied abroad in Strasbourg, France and completely fell in love with the language and culture. She changed her major the day she got back and ended up moving back to France 3 months after graduation. She spent two amazing years teaching little Frenchies, 5-10 years old, English and how to draw hand turkeys. She was called “Katy Perry” daily, and being from Chicago, was assumed to be friends with President Obama, Michael Jordan, and Al Capone. She spent her summers in Vendée living in a tent and working on a campground where she lead sports tournaments, games, Karaoke, Loto, and Discos. Now that she is “a grown up,” she works as a Middle School French Teacher in Chicago, IL. She enjoys singing opera and traveling in her free time. Her most recent adventures include Thailand, Cambodia, and walking 500 miles across Spain on the El Camino de Santiago.
