Fior Cecchi Rivas

Fior grew up in Northern Virginia, working at a local marina on the Potomac River and teaching sailing lessons for adults and kids. Fior is a visual artist who works primarily in video and sound installation, and is currently wrapping up her two bachelor degrees in Studio Art and Environmental Studies. Fior loves to get people outside, and after working at Belle Haven Marina for 5 years and directing the youth sailing program for the last 2 years, moved on to work for Wilderness Adventures leading trips in Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. She works as a ski patroller at small local mountain in Western Massachusetts in the winters, and leads backpacking trips for freshmen at her college. Fior is currently based in Williamstown, Massachusetts and in her free time can be found working in the wood-shop, working as a teaching assistant for the Sculpture Department, slacklining, reading, and cooking community dinners!
