Annie Marcinek

Annie has been part of the Global Works family since 2018, and has led multiple groups in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, and New Orleans. She learned Spanish in high school, and continued to practice while working summer restaurant jobs and traveling to Ecuador and Peru in high school and college. Annie studied tourism in both her undergrad and grad programs at Penn State, and conducted field work in Andean Peru and the Ecuadorian Amazon related to tourism and social enterprise as a sustainable income generator for women in rural, indigenous communities. Outside of the Global Works Home Office, Annie loves to be outside, ski, go see live music, and cook.
