What to Expect

Pre-Travel Resources

Promotional Materials

A Trip Kit will be provided to help spread the word about the program and recruit students. The Trip Kit includes itineraries, a personalized webpage, and resources for conducting effective informational meetings.

Group Airfare Quotes & Reservations

Global Works collaborates with a professional travel agency to handle quotes, reservations, and the group ticketing process. Many airlines allow space to be reserved for the group without any upfront payment.

Insurance & Finance

Global Works partners with battleface to offer emergency medical/evacuation insurance and program interruption/cancellation insurance. Payments can be coordinated through the school or with individual families. Payment plans are also available.

Global Works Login Page

Each participant and chaperone will receive a personalized Login Page, which serves as the central resource for medical forms, insurance details, a packing list, travel day instructions, and other pertinent program details.

Final Trip Details & Trip Leader Communication

Prior to departure, participants will receive a detailed calendar, Global Works t-shirts, luggage tags, and emergency contact cards. The designated Trip Leader will reach out to introduce themselves, set the program’s tone, and address any final questions.

Teachers Travel Free

Teachers can hop on a plane at no cost, making it easier to organize a transformative experience for students without financial stress.

On-Trip Support & Communication

24/7 Home Office Support

Chaperones, parents/guardians, and participants have access to a Global Works Director anytime during the program through 24-hour on-call support.

24/7 Trip Leader Support

Full-time, on-the-ground support is provided by Global Works Leaders who remains available throughout the program to guide and facilitate activities.

Blog Updates

The group will send written updates and photos from the field, which the Global Works home office will post to the blog. Parents/guardians receive notifications with each trip journal update.

Post-Travel Certifications & Photos

Community Service Certificates

After the program concludes, Community Service Certificates are emailed to each student, indicating the number of service hours completed.

Photo Sharing

Photos will be taken by leaders through out the program, and families receive a link to download photos from the trip.
