Sarah Hailey
Sarah is no stranger to community service and outdoor adventures. She spent several summers of her college years in the Gulf Coast volunteering in rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina, and then served as an Americorps volunteer at Delgado Community College in New Orleans. She also taught outdoor education programs to urban school children in New Orleans and spent two summers as a raft guide in Tennessee. Although originally from Tennessee, New Orleans has become home. She spent three years teaching Adult Education until becoming a high school English teacher in 2017. Getting to know her students and challenging them to accomplish feats beyond their wildest expectation is her greatest adventure. In her free time, Sarah enjoys running, cycling, swimming and whitewater kayaking in the summer. She also loves to read, cook and spend time with friends and her dog Tallulah.
