Kurt Kauppinen

When Kurt is not working for Global Works, he teaches physical education in an urban area, but this is not where he has always been. Kurt obtained his bachelors degree in Adventure Education and then went on to work in the field as an adventure educator. He has over 450 days professionally leading trips in different wilderness settings from the deserts of Utah to the mountains of New Hampshire. When he is not leading trips, you can find him biking over to tend his garden at a local community garden, dancing to some live music, paddling, or fishing! Kurt has travelled to over 12 different countries, planning his own trips, as this is how he believes you truly get to experience cultures, customs, and environments. He loves life’s ups and downs and he is passionate about sharing experiences with others, which is part of the reason he sought out Global Works.
