Kate Mattingly

Kate is so excited to be joining Global Works for another season! When Kate is not leading trips, she works as a 1st grade Teaching Assistant at a Spanish immersion school in Colorado. Kate grew up in Tennessee, but has lived in both Europe and Central America over the years before settling in Denver. After getting her M.A. in Global Studies, she joined the Peace Corps in Panama in 2018 where she lived in a small community and worked with students and teachers at a local elementary school! Having visited over 30 countries, Kate is passionate about travel and cultural exchange. She is thrilled to be able to work with students who are curious about other parts of the world, and who are ambitious and brave enough to immerse themselves into another language and culture! She understands how overwhelming it can be to travel and work in another language, and is happy to be able to support these courageous kiddos!
