Bonjour parents! Tologs have finally arrived in Paris! After an 11 hour flight, our jet lagged selves headed to our eco-friendly hotel in Paris! We got settled in and then we went straight into the city to explore Paris! We stopped at a local bakery and got some classic croissants and sweet lattes! We then headed to Notre Dame and saw a few french musicians along the way. We passed by the Seine River and walked past many beautful historic landmarks and art works! We even got caught up in a mile long line of people waiting to go into the Shakespeare, and co bookstore! We ended the night at a beautifully lit cafe and a night stroll through the alleys of Paris! It was truly such a special beginning to this wonderful trip! Au Revior!

Bonjour! Here’s what our day 2 looked like. We woke up bright and early to make our way to the Tour Eiffel where we first stood in line and eventually climbed all the way to the top of the tower. After taking a countless number of pictures, we headed over to get lunch and ate a variety of pasta, salads, and burgers, so delicious! Then we hopped on the metro which took us to the Arc de Triomphe located right next to the bustling Champs-Élysée where we wandered around a did a little bit of shopping. After a lot of walking we made a pit stop to Ladurée and snacked on macarons. We hopped on the metro once again and headed back to our hotel to freshen up for dinner which was at an authentic French restaurant. We dined on classics like steak frites and even escargot. On our stroll back to our hotel, we had a sweet treat of gelato and made our way back to rest for another busy and adventurous day tomorrow. Bonne nuit!

Bonjour everyone! Today we headed to the Musée d’Orsay and saw many beautiful Impressionist paintings before taking a quick stop outside the Louvre to take photos. Afterwards, we all got sandwiches and then headed to the cemetery Père Lachaise, where a ton of famous people are buried, including Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde. Fun fact: the Père Lachaise has a million graves! It was rainy today, so we stopped at a cute cafe and got baked goods before making our way via Metro to Montmartre for a look at the Basilica de Sacre Couer and some fun shopping! We ate a delicious dinner and headed back to our hostel to pack for our train ride tomorrow. À bientôt!

Bonjour to all! Today we boarded a high speed train as we headed south towards Provence. We arrived at Avignon dropped off our luggage at our new hotel and then toured the Palais des Papes where we saw amazing architecture and lush gardens. We then visited Pont d’Avignon, a famous bridge, since it never reached the other side and wasn’t finished being built. We then walked back and decided to do some local shopping before heading to dinner at Le Vintage and making our way back to the hotel to take a long snooze before we set out for our next adventure. Bonne nuit et au revior!

Bonjour from Carcassonne! This morning we first stopped at an indoor market to shop for a picnic! We were split up into groups to shop for cheese, meat, veggies, fruits, and bread and pastries. After that, we walked to a museum where we got to learn about the Pont du Gard and it’s history. After becoming Pont du Gard experts, we settled next to a famous aqueduct to enjoy our well-crafted picnic! We then hiked to the top of the aqueduct and walked across it, stopping at the bottom near the river, where we all enjoyed the scenery while some of us swam! Then, we boarded the bus to drive to Carcassonne, a medieval city with so much history! We checked into our hotel rooms and ended the night with dinner at Au Four Saint Louis! Au revior!

Salut from the south of France! We started our early morning with a visit to a local middle school, where we interacted with the students. We played games and got to know these students individually. After having lunch at the school cafeteria, we found ourself at a paper mill. Here we made our own paper and learnt the history of the ancient technique. After the tour, we dolled ourselves up to meet our host families! We joined them for dinner, then we ended the night with some competitive bowling against the different families.

Hello from Carcassonne, once we all had a restful night and ate a delicious breakfast we headed to the town square where we met up with our host families. We walked through the streets finding clues to our scavenger hunt and learned some history along the way too! After we said au revoir to our host family’s and ate some sandwiches we headed to our service project. We first got a tour of the old chateaux and then started out work: pulling weeds, moving branches, and rocks to clear a path. After we finished we enjoyed a snack and headed back to our hotel. We then went out to get some delicious tapas, ate some crêpes and headed to bed! à bientôt!

Bonjour everyone! After a restful night, we went to breakfast and toured the beautiful Château Comtal! We then went shopping for a bit until we drove an hour to the picturesque town of Gruissan. After arriving we all had a top secret mission given to us by “The Easter Bunny.” With the high winds, we were able to complete the mission (even though some picked up all the clues) and meet up at the top the tower Barberousse with astonishing views. We then ventured to the Plage Du Grazel with crashing waves and beautiful blue waters. With the high winds and freezing mediterranean sea some of us built up the courage to dip in and ride the waves! Once we dried ourselves off, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up before our final Carcassonne meal. After that, we had yummy treats and went to bed. Bonsoir!

Bonjour! Today was our last day in France. We woke up this morning and boarded the bus. First we explored the caves of La Grotte de Limousis… which has millions of years of history and many beautiful sights. Then we were off to Toulouse where we dropped our bags off at the hotel and headed off for one last lunch. After we went on a scenic bike tour around Toulouse. We saw the beautiful river, garden, and town center; where we also went shopping and had some free time. To end our last night here, we went to get dinner at a creperie, walked back to our hotel, and had one last reflection with the whole group before heading to bed and preparing for our early flight tomorrow. Bon nuit et bon voyage!!
